- 1 ½ cups sour cream
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese (grated)

- 2 cups crushed cornflakes
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- ½ medium onion (diced)
- 2 to 3 garlic cloves (minced)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 baking dish.
- In a large bowl, mix together the defrosted hash browns with melted butter, salt, and pepper.
- Stir in sour cream and the combined cheeses until well blended.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
- In another bowl, combine crushed cornflakes with melted butter; sprinkle on top of the casserole.
- Bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
