  • 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup white apple vinegar
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Slice chicken breasts in half lengthwise and pound to ½ inch thickness.
  2. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper; dredge in flour.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat; sear chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add white apple vinegar and scrape up browned bits; simmer until reduced by half.
  5. Stir in butter and garlic; cook for 1 minute.
  6. Add chicken broth and seasonings; bring to a boil.
  7. If desired, thicken sauce with cornstarch mixed with cold water.
  8. Reduce heat, stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese until melted; return chicken to skillet and spoon sauce over top.
