Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box devil's food cake mix
  • 2 cups peanut butter (divided)
  • 1 cup chopped peanut butter candies (like Reese’s)
  • 10 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a 9"x13" pan with parchment paper and cooking spray.
  2. Prepare the cake batter according to package instructions. Pour into the prepared pan and bake for about 25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let it cool completely.
  3. Poke holes all over the cooled cake using the back of a wooden spoon. Pour melted peanut butter over the cake, allowing it to fill the holes.
  4. For the frosting, cream together peanut butter and softened butter. Gradually add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until light and fluffy. Add heavy cream if needed for consistency.
  5. Frost the cooled cake evenly with the peanut butter frosting and top with chopped candies.
