Ingredients
- 1 7oz can of chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 8 cloves garlic
- 1 bunch cilantro
- Juice of ½ lime
- 2 tsps chipotle powder
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 2 tsps salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
Instructions
- In a blender or food processor, combine chipotle peppers, apple cider vinegar, honey, olive oil, lime juice, cilantro, garlic, cumin, chili powder, and salt. Blend until smooth.
- Place the steak in a large bowl and pour the marinade over it (reserve ¼ cup for later). Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat an oiled skillet over high heat. Remove steak from marinade and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
- Let the steak rest briefly before slicing against the grain into thin strips or cubes.
- Return cubed steak to the skillet with reserved marinade and sauté on high heat for about 20-30 seconds until warmed through.
