  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar (for filling)
  • 1 large egg (for filling)
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar (for topping)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, mash bananas and mix in melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  4. Combine dry ingredients with the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat together cream cheese, granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  6. Layer half the banana batter in the loaf pan; sprinkle with half the cinnamon-sugar mix. Add cream cheese filling on top and finish with remaining banana batter and cinnamon-sugar.
  7. Use a knife to swirl gently into the batter.
  8. Bake for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Allow cooling in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
