- 200g (7 oz) fettuccine or linguine
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 200ml heavy cream or half-and-half
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 250g (9 oz) shrimp, peeled and deveined
- Salt, pepper, paprika to taste
Instructions
- Boil salted water in a large pot and cook the pasta until al dente. Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
- Season shrimp with salt, pepper, and paprika. Sauté in a skillet with butter over medium heat until pink (about 2-3 minutes per side). Remove from skillet.
- In the same skillet, melt more butter, add garlic, and sauté until fragrant. Stir in cream and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Gradually mix in parmesan until melted.
- Combine cooked pasta with the Alfredo sauce and shrimp in the skillet. Toss to coat evenly.
- Serve hot, garnished with optional parsley or extra cheese.
