Ingredients

  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional, for searing)
  • 1/4 tsp dried thyme (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  2. Optionally sear chicken in a skillet with olive oil for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  3. Place seasoned chicken in the crockpot.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together chicken broth, cream of chicken soup, and thyme; pour over the chicken.
  5. Cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
  6. About 30 minutes before serving, mix cornstarch with water and stir into the crockpot to thicken gravy.
  7. Shred or keep chicken whole as desired; serve hot garnished with parsley.
