- 4 cups chicken broth
- 3 boneless chicken breasts
- 28 oz can of pressed tomatoes
- 15 oz can tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 and 1/2 cups grated mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 8 oz raw rotini pasta
Instructions
- In a crockpot, combine chicken broth, chicken breasts, pressed tomatoes, chopped garlic, Italian seasoning, tomato sauce, black pepper, and salt. Stir well.
- Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 6-8 hours.
- Shred cooked chicken with two forks and return to the pot. Add heavy whipping cream, rotini pasta, and grated parmesan cheese. Mix thoroughly.
- Cook covered on high for an additional 15 minutes or on low for 30 minutes until pasta is tender.
- For topping, toast breadcrumbs in butter until golden brown.
