- 250g unsalted butter, chilled

Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. Gradually add warm water until a smooth dough forms. Knead for 5–7 minutes until elastic.
- Shape the dough into a ball and let it rest covered for about an hour until doubled in size.
- Roll chilled butter between parchment paper into a rectangle and refrigerate.
- Roll out the dough into a larger rectangle; place the chilled butter in the center and fold over to seal.
- Roll and fold the dough in thirds three times; refrigerate between folds.
- Cut dough into triangles, roll each into crescent shapes, place on a baking sheet, and let rise for an hour.
- Preheat oven to 200°C (392°F), brush croissants with beaten egg, then bake for 15–20 minutes until golden.
