Instructions

  2. Place the zest in a large glass jar and pour strong lemon juice over it. Seal and let infuse for 3 to 6 weeks in a cool, dark place, shaking gently every few days.
  3. In a saucepan, heat filtered water and sugar until dissolved to create simple syrup. Allow to cool completely.
  4. After infusion, combine the cooled syrup with the lemon-infused liquid and stir well. Reseal jar and let rest for another 7 days.
  5. Strain out zest using a fine mesh strainer before bottling your limoncello.
