Ingredients
- 6 eggs
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 tablespoons white vinegar
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/4 small yellow onion (diced)
- 4 garlic cloves (minced)
- 2 stalks scallions (minced)
- 1 Korean red pepper (sliced)
- 1 serrano pepper (sliced)
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
Instructions
- Soft boil the eggs by bringing water to a boil in a medium saucepan with salt and vinegar. Using a spider strainer or slotted spoon, lower the eggs into the boiling water and simmer for 6-7 minutes.
- Remove the eggs and place them in an ice water bath for about 10 minutes until cooled. Gently peel the cooled eggs.
- In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, water, honey, diced onion, minced garlic, minced scallions, sliced peppers, and toasted sesame seeds to make the marinade.
- Place peeled eggs in an airtight container and pour marinade over them until fully submerged. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours or overnight.
