Muchicken hammara, a savory Syrian roasted red pepper dip, is a vibrant addition to any gathering. This quick and easy recipe comes together in just five minutes, offering a delightful combination of roasted red peppers, walnuts, and spices that leave a lasting impression. Ingredients

  • 1 red pepper (roasted)
  • 1/3 cup walnuts (toasted)
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1/2 cup red pepper paste
  • 2 tbsp tahini
  • 2 tbsp pomegranate molasses
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • cumin

  • Aleppo pepper
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Roast the red pepper until charred. Allow it to cool before peeling.
  2. In a food processor, combine the roasted red pepper slices, walnuts, onion, garlic, and optional chili pepper. Pulse until finely chopped.
  3. Add the red pepper paste, breadcrumbs, tahini, pomegranate molasses, olive oil, cumin, coriander, Aleppo pepper, and salt. Blend until smooth.
  4. Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with extra virgin olive oil, pomegranate seeds, walnuts, and fresh mint.
