  • 2 (8 oz) blocks halloumi cheese, cubed
  • 1 cup Panko bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan
  • 3 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Extra virgin olive oil for drizzling
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • Red pepper flakes to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (218°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In one bowl, whisk the eggs and toss in the cubed halloumi until coated.
  3. In another bowl, mix Panko bread crumbs, parmesan, sesame seeds, paprika, and black pepper.
  4. Dredge each halloumi piece in the breadcrumb mixture and arrange on the baking sheet with space between them. Drizzle with olive oil.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes, flip the bites, then bake for another 10 minutes until golden and crisp.
  6. For the hot honey sauce, mix honey with red pepper flakes to adjust spiciness.
  7. Serve warm drizzled with hot honey sauce.
