  • 1/4 cup softened butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour (combined from both doughs)
  • 1/2 cup melted butter (for brownie dough)
  • 1 cup white sugar (for brownie dough)
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder (for brownie dough)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Peanut Butter Dough: Beat together peanut butter, softened butter, and brown sugar until fluffy. Mix in the egg and vanilla. Gradually add flour, baking soda, and salt until combined. Set aside.
  2. Prepare the Brownie Dough: Whisk melted butter with white sugar. Stir in cocoa powder, second egg, and vanilla. Mix in remaining flour (3/4 cup), baking powder, and salt until smooth. Fold in chocolate chips.
  3. Chill both doughs for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  4. Scoop blobs of each dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and swirl with a toothpick.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 9–11 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft. Cool before serving.
