  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 1/4 cups whole milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons fine sea salt
  • 4 3/4 cups bread flour

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan and warm the milk to about 115-120°F.
  2. In your stand mixer, combine the warm milk mixture with eggs, honey, yeast, and salt. Gradually add half of the flour until a rough dough forms.
  3. Knead in the remaining flour until you achieve a soft, smooth dough.
  4. Let the dough rise in a greased bowl until doubled in size (90 minutes to 2 hours).
  5. Shape into rolls and allow to rise again until doubled (about 1 hour).
  6. Bake at 375°F for 20-22 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Brush with melted honey butter and sprinkle with flaky sea salt before serving.
