Ingredients
- 1 ½ pounds boneless beef chuck roast
- 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
- ½ cup low-sodium soy sauce
- ⅓ cup dark brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 3 teaspoons minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 (12-ounce) bag frozen broccoli florets
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and minced garlic.
- Place sliced beef chuck roast in the slow cooker and pour the sauce over it. Toss to coat.
- Cook on LOW for 2.5–3.5 hours. About an hour before it's done, mix cornstarch with a reserved portion of sauce and stir back into the slow cooker.
- In the last 30 minutes, add frozen broccoli florets and gently stir to combine.
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds if desired before serving over rice or noodles.
