Ingredients
- 3/4 cup pineapple juice
- 1/2 cup soy sauce (or tamari)
- 3/4 cup orange juice
- 4 cloves garlic (peeled and chopped)
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 4 tablespoons lime juice (from two limes)
- 1 tablespoon kosher salt
- 2 pounds flank steak
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together pineapple juice, soy sauce, orange juice, garlic, brown sugar, lime juice, water, and salt until dissolved.
- Divide flank steak into two zip-lock bags, pouring the marinade over each piece to coat evenly.
- Seal bags and refrigerate for at least two hours.
- Preheat grill to 500°F (260°C). Remove steak from marinade; allow excess liquid to drip off.
- Grill flank steak for about 5 minutes per side or until medium rare. For skirt steak, grill for about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Grill vegetables in a basket alongside the meat during the last few minutes of cooking.
- Let steak rest for 10 minutes before slicing against the grain.
